Lisa currently has 5 dogs; Springer Spaniel, German Shorthaired Pointer, Flatcoated Retriever and two Working Cocker Spaniels. She has owned and trained them since puppies. The four older dogs have their Kennel Club Good Citizen Awards up to Gold Level.
Lisa competes in Heelwork to Music at Advanced level, and Freestyle at Intermediate level.
During the summer she competes with her Flatcoated Retriever and Working Cocker Spaniel in gundog working tests, achieving Gundog Grades and Working Gundog Certificates with both.
During the winter, she works her dogs on the local shoot, providing a stock of food for the freezer for the following months.
As well as competitions, workshops, tricks and advanced training, the most important skill is ‘daily life’, which includes settling nicely in a pub, which is also keenly practiced!
Lisa has been a part of the Crufts Demonstration Team for the past 7 years, advising the public on how to get started if they are interested in getting involved in Heelwork to Music and performing routines twice a day, including in the main arena.
