Lisa currently has 6 dogs; three Flatcoated Retrievers, two Working Cocker Spaniels and a Springer Spaniel.
During the winter, she works her dogs on 3 local shoots, providing a stock of food for the freezer for the following months.
During the summer, she competes currently with one Flatcoated Retriever and Working Cocker Spaniel in gundog working tests, and has also achieved Gundog Grades and Working Gundog Certificates with both.
Lisa has competed in Heelwork to Music for over 10 years and has judged for 5years, she now competes at Advanced and Intermediate level, qualifying for the Crufts 2024 semi finals!
She has been a part of the Crufts Demonstration Team for the past 10 years, advising the public on how to get started if they are interested in getting involved in Heelwork to Music and performing routines twice a day, including in the main arena.
One Cocker Spaniel has started to work on scent indication under the guidance of K9 Behaviour Consultancy, and hopefully will be competing in scent detection trials in the near future!
Lisa has also shown two of her Flatcoated Retrievers at Crufts 2024 in the breed ring.
As well as competitions, workshops, tricks and advanced training, Lisa’s dogs are pets who live in the house, go on walks and visit the pub, so life skills are essential and are a major part of teaching across all classes
